OFFICIALS ABOUT DELHI UNIVERSITY FINAL YEAR EXAMS MODE

Delhi University is yet to clarify the mode of exam. However, some of the officials had cited several possibilities in the mode of examination.

DS Rawat, Dean of examination talked to a news agency on the same. He said there is the option to go with the online Open Book Exam(OBE) as well as the regular exams. He further said that we will make the final decision in due course of time. However, the situation of the Pandemic with other guidelines will be important in final decision making.

Delhi University registrar Vikash Gupta stated DDMA has allowed half of the student capacity in classrooms. Hence, it is difficult to hold final year exams in regular mode. However, he also said that if DDMA guidelines loosen in the future, then we can take the regular final year exam. Otherwise, we will continue the OBE mode of exam.

DELHI UNIVERSITY TEACHING FACULTY OPINION

Teaching faculty cited that final year students should prepare for in-person examinations. As they had to go through several learning and assessment modes.

If an online mode exam happens, then the degree value will not be the same. As from last year, exams are going without invigilation. However, some of the students wish to appear for a physical exam. As they are concerned about their degree recognition in the future.
