Two ISI agents who were working as visa officers at the Pakistan High Commission were incarcerated by the Delhi Police. The arrests of these agents have uncovered Pakistan’s ploys using illicit means to harm India.

As per the sources, confidential information was received by the Military Intelligence Unit a few weeks ago, that Abid Hussain and Tahir Khan, working with the Pakistan High Commission, in order to gather confidential information are targeting personnel of the Indian Army. The two introduced themselves as Indians and tried to target and befriend people connected to the Army.

They were kept under surveillance of the Military Intelligence Unit. It’s discovered by the intelligence agencies that both of these ISI agents were trying to gather information regarding the defense establishments in India and the deployment of the Army on border areas. If sources are to be believed, a list of people who are to be targeted would be given to them by Pakistan’s Intelligence Agency ISI.

A trap was laid to catch Abid and Tahir red-handed, after discovering that they are going to meet someone in Karol Bagh to get information and documents regarding the Army establishment. They were caught near Bikanerwala Chowk on Aryasamaj Road in Karol Bagh area of Delhi by a team of Special Cell along with military intelligence. They both were asked to come out of their official car provided by the Pakistan High Commission.

After being interrogated about their identity by the police personnel, Abid claimed to be a resident of Geeta Colony and his real name is Nasir Gautam. He submitted an Aadhaar card, nevertheless, it was immediately realized by the police personnel that it was fake as the spelling of ‘Gautam’ was typed as ‘Gotam’. After further interrogation, both of them admitted to being the nationals of Pakistan High Commission and are posted at the High Commission in Delhi.

Javed was also arrested by the police, as he’s a member of the Pakistan High Commission who’s job was to drive them around the national capital. On further questioning, both of them confessed being in contact with the Pakistani Intelligence Unit ISI agents and that they both were working at its behest in India.

Some documents were also recovered from them by the police, which is being closely investigated. They are now being questioned by a team of the special cell to find out from whom did they receive these documents and with whom they were in contact in India as well as Pakistan.
