On Saturday, Delhi University has released the first cut-off list of various colleges for admission to the undergraduate program. Like every year, this year also the cut-off of Delhi University is very high.

This year the cut-off has gone up due to more students scoring more than 90 percent marks in board examinations. Let’s know the most important things related to DU admission 2020

This time, students will get admission for admission in BA (H) Economics, BA (H) Political Science and BA (H) Psychology in the Best 4 Subjects with 100% marks. The cutoff for admission to BCom (H) in this college is 99.75 percent. For admission in BA (H) Economics at Hindu College, 99.25% percent marks are required.

Apart from the top colleges of North and South Campus, the off-campus evening colleges also have a very high cut-off this year.

Hansraj College has a B.Com Honors cut off of 99.25%. The cutoff in Economics is 98.75% and the English cut off by one point more than last year. The cut off for Hindi has also increased from 86% to 90%.

The cut off in Shri Ram College has increased from 98.5% in 2019 to 99.5% this year. Economics cut off has also increased by 0.25 percent to 99%.

The highest cut-off in courses at KMC was 98.75% in B.Com Hons while in Ba Economics and B.Com (P), the cut-off reached 98.5% and 98% respectively.

Economics cut off at Aryabhatta College has increased from two percent to 98%. Here the cut off of B.Com Honors has increased from 96 to 97.5 percent. The cut off of political science increased by four points to 95 percent. The minimum marks for admission in English and Psychology have also increased by one and two percent respectively.

WHEN WILL DU ADMISSION 2020 START

Admission through the first cut off list in Delhi University will start from October 12. The new session of DU will begin on 18 November.

DU admission 2020 will be taken till 14 October 2020, based on the first cut off list. For admission, the portal of admission will be open from 10 am to 5 pm on Wednesday.

16 October 2020 is the last date for depositing fees. This time, Delhi University can issue five cut-off lists and a special list for admission to about 70 thousand seats. The DU admission process is entirely online this year.

NO ADMISSION DESK OUTSIDE COLLEGE AND UNIVERSITY

This time due to Corona, students will not get any information outside the college/university or from the admission desk.

It has been made clear on the website that no student or parent in the college will be given an entry for the admission process. All processes will be completed online.

ADMISSION ONLINE FOR THE FIRST TIME

Delhi University is going to enroll for an undergraduate course online for the first time. In this, the student has to take admission on the cut off decided by the college after seeing his cut off.

No student or guardian is required to go to university campus or college under any circumstances.

HOW TO TAKE ADMISSION

After completing your course and college final, students will get a reference number.

All information about sharing the details and documents sought from the college can be seen on the portal.
If the college needs any additional documents, then a mail will be sent by the college to the student.
After that, there will be a process of document verification.

VERIFICATION OF DOCUMENTS IN THREE STEPS

Students’ documents will be verified in three stages. The first teacher, after this the Convener of the Admission Committee and finally the Principal will verify.
For verification, facilities like an online calculator have been added on the portal.
DU Colleges will not have to calculate the Best of 4 based on the marks of aspirants applying for admission. This year the digital calculator will do this work.

DU ADMISSION 2020: HOW TO CALCULATE BEST 4 MARKS?

It will calculate everything based on the form. The principal simply has to see if the child is within the cut-off range.
The admission process of the student will be completed after filling their fees.
United admission canceled or any kind of mistake in the application, DU colleges will inform the students and ask them to make related changes and corrections.

DU Cut off List 2020 will be released for 64 colleges of Delhi University. The important dates for the cutoffs are:-

Admission for DU’s first cut-off – 12 October to 14 October.
Admission for second cut-off – 19 October to 21 October
Admission for the third cut-off – 26 October to 28 October
Admission for fourth cut-off – 2 November to 4 November
Admission for fifth cut-off – 9 November to 11 November
Beginning of the session – 18 November 2020.

If the seats remain vacant even after this, the university will issue a new cut-off list to fill them later.
