Tomorrow, about 1.20 lakh students will appear for the All India Bar Exam. In about 154 centers in 52 cities, the exam will be held across the country. Nine centers had been canceled owing to a report of usage of unfair means after the last exam. The lawyers will be allowed to appear for the same in March-April, who will not be eligible to appear for the exam due to the pandemic.

On an official website, the Bar Council said that it was further being made clear that the period from 24th March 2020 to 31st March 2021 had been exempted due to the widespread coronavirus pandemic. Those candidates, therefore, who have shown an inability to appear in the exams within the prescribed period will be exempted and they can, subsequently, appear in the next exam which is scheduled to be held in the month of March/April 2021.

It would be mandatory for candidates to carry admit card to the exam hall during the January All India Bar exam. At the exam hall, electronic gadgets and mobile phones are banned. Also, signal jammers have been placed at approximately 50 centers by the Bar Council in order to further ensure that no one in the vicinity is able to use gadgets or phones.
