Days after the shooting was wrapped up in the UK, the teaser of Akshay Kumar’s Bellbottom comes out. The movie stars Lara Dutta, Huma Qureshi, and Vaani Kapoor and is directed by Ranjit M Tewari.
A dapper Akshay Kumar is featured at an airbase in the teaser. Akshay Kumar’s Bellbottom, an espionage thriller is said to be inspired by true events.
Last week, Akshay Kumar had shared on social media that the shooting of Bellbottom had been wrapped up in the UK during the coronavirus pandemic. Amid heightened COVID-19 safety measures, the movie had been shot under protection for nearly two months.
Akshay Kumar, while talking about the intense schedule amid the pandemic, had said that it was teamwork and he was grateful to each and every member of the cast and crew from the spot dadas to the light dadas to the technicians to the makeup dadas to his lovely heroines, Lara, Vaani, Huma, his director Ranjit and to Vashuji and the production who believed in their audacious plan.
He also said that the new normal had made them realize a different way of working that none of them could have imagined. He hopes that this encourages the film industry globally to do what they are best at and start entertaining the audiences again. He also hopes that their shoot during the pandemic will reassure others that it is now time to get things moving again while keeping the safety of everybody in mind.

Jackky Bhagnani, Vashu Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh of Pooja Entertainment have produced Akshay Kumar’s Bellbottom, in association with Madhu Bhojwani, Monisha Advani, and Nikkhil Advani. Bellbottom will release on April 2, 2021.
