Members of the All India Students’ Association (AISA) and Delhi University students on Monday alleged manhandling by varsity guards for protesting in front of the Vice Chancellor’s office.

A group of students organized a protest demonstration, asking to reopen Delhi University immediately. In the protest, they raised many slogans against VC.

As soon as the protest started, the Delhi University officials called the police and their guards and of a sudden, they began thrashing the students and violently manhandling the protesters. In the statement, AISA alleged that the police forced students to move out from the VC lawn, causing injuries to them.

Afterward, the students met at Gate number 4 and had a public meeting.

However, there is no response from Delhi University authorities.
