A corrigendum notice has been issued by the Jawaharlal Nehru University which revokes the mandatory direction for the students and staff to download the Aarogya Setu App on their mobile phones as the University is about to re-open.

Earlier on October 21, a notification was released making the download of the Aarogya Setu App mandatory. Later now, another modified notification has been released dates October 28. This another notification issued by JNU registrar Pramod Kumar states that it is advised to install the app but not mandatory.

JNU Student’s Union was earlier planning on filing a petition against the earlier order which made downloading the app mandatory. Students’ Union welcomed this modification by the varsity.
