The cases of coronavirus are increasing continuously every day. In view of these cases, the Delhi Government has decided 43 zones of Delhi as red zones and officially announced the same. These zones have been sealed by the district government. The zones we’re named on the basis of the number of confirmed cases of coronavirus in that particular area.

Most of the red zones are from Southeast Delhi

These areas include the Nizamuddin Markaz Mosque. There was a religious gathering at this area even in the lockdown. Results in several positive cases of COVID -19. So due to a large number of confirmed cases of coronavirus, Southern Delhi is marked as the red zone.

Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal said in an online briefing, that we have declared the containment zones as red zone and orange zone are those which are at high risk.
