A 17-year-old girl from Uttar Pradesh whose maimed body was found on Tuesday near Lakhimpur Kheri District was raped as per the post-Morton reports.
The UP police at first claimed that the girl seemed to have been murdered with a sharp knife and she further had injuries on her neck. The dead body was found near a pond which is over 200 meters away from her village.
The police chief, Satendar Kumar Kheri said that the post-mortem reports have substantiated the rape. The police are further making efforts to catch and arrest the rapist.

17 Year Old Left Home To Fill Up Scholarship Form Never Returned
The relatives of the 17-year-old girl said that the girl left the home on Monday to fill up her scholarship form on Monday. However, when the girl did not come back home, the family informed at the neighboring police station.

In the last 10 days, this is the second rape and murder of a young girl from this village in UP.
Before this, a 13-year-old girl was raped and later murdered on August 15. Her dead body was discovered in a sugarcane field that is owned by one of the accused rapists. Two men have been arrested from her village. The father of the young girl said that his daughter’s tongue was cut off and her eyes were gouged out, so it is clear that the minor was raped. He claimed that her daughter was strangled.

The police said that the post mortem report was received a day later. They added that the post mortem report did not claim that her eyes were gouged or her tongue was injured. The teenage girl went missing on the afternoon of 14th August. The incident took place over 130 km away from Lucknow, in a rural area near the Nepal border. The rape cases in UP have increased in August.
