UPSC examination

 

 

Almost 283 candidates from the Jamia Millia Islamia’s Residential Coaching Academy appeared for the UPSC Civil Services Premilinary Examination 2020. Out of the appeared 283 candidates, 101 students have cleared the premlims examination. Out of the 101 students, 85 are male candidates whereas 16 being female.

The results to the prelims exam 2020, which was conducted on October 4, were announced by The Union Public Service Commission on Friday. The successful candidates who cleared the prelims exam will be eligible to appear in the Mains stage of the Civil Services Examination. The Civil Services (Mains) Examination is scheduled for 8 January 2021.

“101 students from the jamia millia islamia Residential Coaching Academy (RCA), Centre for Coaching and Career Planning (CCCP), Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) cleared the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Exam 2020. 16 girls and 85 boys from various states of the country qualified the first stage out of total number of 283 candidates who received coaching and training at the RCA,” said Jamia’s PRO-Media Coordinator Ahmad Azeem

He further said that the qualified candidates will appear in Mains Examination beginning on 8 January 2021 and also that this was the highest number of qualified candidates from any public coaching centre

Azeem added that the count of successful candidates could go up as contact numbers of many students are not reachable.

“The number may increase also because we couldn’t establish contacts with 29 students as many students had gone home after the exam. The number may go up from 101,” said Jamia PRO.

In the last year UPSC prelims exam, 102 candidates had cleared the exam and after mains and the interview, 30 students among them were finally declared successful. Thise results were announced in August this year.
