DU FOURTH CUT-OFF LIST

The sky soaring 100 % cutoff in Delhi University has left many aspirants shocked. Hence, those students who have scored a full-fledged 90 percent and above are dejected now. DU’s 1st cut-off list 2021 literally set the bars high with a 100 % cutoff for 10 courses and above 99 percent in others. Many students are now feeling that their dream of getting into Delhi University might not become a reality now.

100 % cutoff, students seeking alternatives:

Many dejected students who have scored 90 and above are scouting for alternatives now. Bhavika, a DU aspirant from Chandigarh wanted to pursue BA (Hons) Economics from her dream college, Lady Shri Ram or Shri Ram College of Commerce. But, she scored 95.5 percent in her boards and is now dejected. She says, “Delhi University looks like a distant dream for now.” Bhavika has applied under the ECA quota for which admissions will undergo after all cutoffs are released. Hence, she is hopeful for her admissions. However, she has taken admission to Symbiosis Law School, Pune as a backup option.

Another student, Ishita Mehra has scored 93.6 percent and has already taken admissions in SD College, Chandigarh as a backup option. Also, she wishes that the Common Entrance Test would have taken place as she is not satisfied with her marks. Hence, she claims that she could have secured a 96 or 97 if the Board exams took place. She says that she would wait for the cut-offs hopefully but not settle for a lesser DU college.

100 % cutoff in popular DU courses:

Delhi University released its 1st cut-off list on October 1. All the popular colleges including SRCC, Hindu College, Hansraj College, Ramjas College, and more have a 100 % cut-off. Hence, it is likely that the aspirants are distressed and seek alternatives.
