Even after the high cutoff in many colleges of Delhi University, 1% relaxation in the admission of girl students continues this year. Before admission, the exempted colleges have already notified the DU admissions branch along with the seat matrix in which courses they will give 1 percent relaxation to the aspirants.
Questions are being asked repeatedly about the admission branch of the students and parents DU, whether they will get the benefit of 1% exemption or not if the student is reserved. On this, the admission branch of DU has made it clear that even if the student is of reserved category, colleges will give a rebate of 1 percent. Generally, parents feel that the reserved class cutoff is less than before, in such a way, they will not get the benefit of one percent relaxation by colleges.
In such a situation, DU has clarified that the colleges which are giving admission to the subject will give the students of all categories. It does not belong to the reserved or unreserved category.
Earlier many colleges of DU used to give relaxation of one to three percent in many courses, but by improving it from last year, it is instructed to give only 1 percent relaxation.
A total of 28 colleges of DU will give 1 percent relaxation to the girl candidates. In which, 18 Delhi University colleges are offering relaxation in all the subjects. DU Women’s Colleges does not offer any 1% relaxation. Before entering the DU, students which college is giving one percent in which subject, please check it on the website of the college.
No relaxation in DU women’s colleges
There are some colleges in DU that enroll only girl students. Apart from this, all the female colleges are not exempting the girl students. Whereas most of the colleges with co-ed have a one percent North Campus for female students according to the course.

It s Very bad that girls are given 1% relaxation but not for boys….. Girls can be helped by giving them books and other facilities for reading…. But admission in college or for taking job should purely be based on merits…. And no partiality pls.
