DU JAT or Delhi University Joint Admission Test is an entrance exam conducted by Delhi University in the month of June. Excellent performance in this entrance makes way for students to take admissions in highly reputed undergraduate management courses like Bachelor of Management (BMS), BBA (FIA) program, BA Hons business economics etc.

Delhi University acts as a stepping stone for all who wish to pursue a great career in management.

DU JAT 2018 Important Date

The notification for DU JAT 2018 examination is expected to release around June 16, 2018. Candidates interested would be required to register online on the official website of Delhi University.

DU JAT 2018 Eligibility

  • Candidates must have cleared class 12th examination or must be appearing for the same. Those who have appeared for class 12th exams and are awaiting result are also eligible to apply.
  • Candidates are must have scored a minimum of 60% marks in the ‘best’ 4 subjects which compulsorily will include English and Mathematics and 2 other subjects as approved by the University of Delhi.
  • Candidates belonging to OBC category must have scored a minimum of 60% in their qualifying exams. The minimum percentage for SC/ST and PWD candidates is 54%.
  • Criteria may even vary from college to college.

DU JAT Application Form

  • Application form must be filled and submitted online.
  • Fill all the required details in the application such as personal, academic, address, etc.
  • Keep ready the scanned images of photograph, signature, ID Proof & other required documents.
  • Application fee must be paidonline.
  • Take a printout of the application form for further use.

DU JAT 2018 Fee

Once the complete application form of DU JAT 2018 is duly filled, the application fee must be paid via Debit or Credit card. Only after the payment acknowledgement is received will the application form be considered as submitted.

DU Exam Pattern 2018

Mode: Computer based online test

No of questions: 100

Time Duration: Two hours

Total marks: 300

Each correct answer will have three marks and one mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

DU JAT Admit Card 2018

Usually issued in first week of July, it includes the candidate’s Name, Roll Number, Photo, Signature, Examination Venue and Date. Without the admit card/hall ticket test takers will not be allowed to appear in the exam. Also, candidates must ensure that the admit card is signed by the invigilator in the test room.

Exam centers

Centers are placed pan India. The complete address of the exam center will be mentioned in the admit card. List of exam centers include: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Mumbai, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Nagpur, Patna, Ranchi, Trivandrum, and Varanasi

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR COUNSELLING

  • DU JAT 2017 Admit card.
  • Intermediate or Equivalent Exam Mark sheet
  • Intermediate or Equivalent Exam passed certificate
  • Category Certificate (if any)
  • Income Certificate (Only for OBC Candidates)

DU JAT Results and Counseling Process

Appeared students can check the DU JAT 2018 result through online mode from the first week of July 2018. Last year university scrapped off GD and PI rounds and hence, their presence this year too is unlikely. However, to be sure, one must wait till the official notification is out. The result might be based on only Class 12th marks and entrance test marks, division of weight likely to be 50% each. (Waiting for the official notification to confirm*)

DU JAT counseling 2018 will be started after the declaration of final result of entrance exam and other admission rounds. Shortlisted candidates are required to produce the necessary documents in original at the time of admission. During counseling process, candidates also have to pay the admission fee to confirm their admission.

  1. Can you tell me if selection process wik be like last year ( as they gonna consider 85% of jat entrance and 15% for gd /pi ) or they gonna consider boards too?

    • The actual criteria from last year is they consider 65% of JAT score and 35% of your 12th score and accordingly rank is being generated.
