Delhi University (DU) Admissions 2019 are ongoing  with its high speed. The varsity has seen an unprecedented number of admissions after the first cut off lists were released on June 28, 2019. DU Second Cut off list has been released. The DU UG admission based on the second cut-off list will be conducted from July 4 to 6, 2019. Colleges affiliated to DU has released second cut-off list on their respective websites also.

Take a quick look at the courses that are closed and the admissions that are still open.

Students may note that for most of the top reputed colleges, the admissions to general category are closed. As per the report shared by Hindu College, it has already admitted about 1000 students against the capacity of 800 and there is almost no chance for general category students to take admission in the second list.

SRCC has concluded its admissions in B.A. Economics (H) for general category ones whereas  demanding 98% for BCom (H) from general category students as about  305 seats against the total of 552 seats have been already filled.

The famous Kirori mal College has closed the admissions for most of the honours courses except English, Hindi and Economics for the general category students.

On the other hand, OBC and other category students are on the brighter side due to some margin and availability in the cut-offs. The majorly chosen B.A. Economics (H) course demands 98-98.25% in 2nd cut-off for general category which heartbreaks the students who were expecting major decline in the cut-offs.

The prestigious Gargi College, located in the south campus, also set its mark high with its sky- rocketing list.  The preferred college released the first cut-off for B.A.Eco( hons.) at 97% and the second cut-off witnessed just 0.5% dip resulting in 96.5% creating an atmosphere of panic among the aspirants.

The famous BCom (H) course demanded 96.5% in the first cut-off but gave no relief in the second cut-off to students due to just 0.25% dip.

The list shook the students and their dreams but there is no reason for losing the faith as other three lists also awaits.

The Jesus and Mary College, located in chanyakapuri, has closed all the courses for its admissions except Hindi(H) and Sociology(H) and has become popular among the students as seen from the trends in taking admissions.

Mata Sundri College for Women released the second cut-off list for various courses. It is seen that there is 2% and 3% dip in the BCom hons. And BA Pol.Sci.(H) course respectively whereas BA Programme had a significant decline from 86% to 78% in the second list.

The north campus has its own shine and thus there is not so much decline in the cut-off lists. The students are keeping their fingers crossed for the subsequent cut-offs to land in their dream colleges with new enthusiasm. The south colleges has its own aura and showed some relief to students but not to a major extent.

The eligible candidates who meet the requirements mentioned in the cut-off list are advised to proceed with their admission formalities in the colleges concerned within the stipulated time and fix their seat in the Delhi University. Students can take the admission in the course of their choice in the best college they get right now and can switch afterwards but not taking admission in any college will invite risk as the trend of significant fall of cut-off is low.
