Delhi University has announced the date of online registration for various merit based undergraduate courses for the academic session 2017-2018. The online registration has started from May 22, 2017for merit based UG courses and will close on evening (5 pm) of June 12. DU has also announced Cut off list release dates for merit based admission. As per the officials, first cut off will release on 20 June 2017.

After declaration of the Delhi University cut off lists, the candidate will need to report to the college of his/her choice for admission within the given period if his/her marks fall within announced cut-off list. Students must verify the date and time allotted for admission procedure. Candidate seeking admission must be present for admission. Candidate need to submit following original certificates and documents along with their photocopy which is need to be self-attested.

Here is the list of documents that candidates need to bring at the time of admission process:

  • Class X Board Examination Certificate

  • Class X Mark sheet

  • Class XII Mark sheet

  • Class XII Provisional Certificate/ Original Certificate

  • Character Certificate from the institution last attended

  • Transfer certificate from school/college as well as Migration certificate from Board/University (in case of student from a University or Board other than Delhi.

  • Two Passport size photographs self-attested by the student at the back.

  • Students who did not appear in compulsory English are required to submit a Certificate that they have passed English as a second language in Senior Secondary that is up to Class X.

  • Certificate of having passed Hindi up to class VIII from their respective schools, otherwise they have to pass compulsory test in Hindi.

  • SC/ST students to submit caste certificate issued in their own name. In case the student is below 18 years of age the certificate should be in her parent’s name.

  • Copy of online registration form of university with university centralized registration number.

The above list is an exhaustive guideline for the documents to be carried while taking admission, however some colleges may ask for additional documents/certificates as per their requirements. Kindly check the list of documents on the college website before you go for admission.  To stay out of any trouble, prepare all the required documents beforehand and check once again before going to the respective college.

  1. Greetings, Ma’am.
    I would like to enquire about the documents required for a gap year student during the admission procedure in Delhi University.
    I would also like to know the format of the Gap Affidavit.
    It would be very helpful if you could quickly reply. I reside in the Northeastern region of India so any problem, should they occur during the admission process, would be very hard for me to solve as the city of Delhi is quite unknown to me. Thank you.
